Motion light switch that dims based on time of day?

We have motion activated light switches in our bathrooms- we love them! However when I wake up in the middle of the night and stumble out of my dark bedroom into the bathroom and the lights go full on I feel like a vampire in the sun.

This got me thinking- it would be great to figure out a way to have motion activated lights that activate to different brightness levels depending on the time of day- so late at night they might just illuminate to a dim level- or start very dim and very gradually go up..

Is there any solution to this without any major re-wiring?

do a Google search on "automatic dimming motion activated lights". Seems like you will find what you're looking for.
