Outlet issues. Please help me.
So I was not present but a friend thought he could change an outlet without turning the power off at the breaker box. As he did so the outlet popped and the whole master bedroom lights out. Now the breaker box has been reset and that did not work and neither did Finding a outlet that have the reset button cuz none of them do. What do I do? Do I replace that outlet with a g f i c e Outlet that has a reset or do I need to replace something else? I am familiar but not an expert, please help

Welcome to the forums.
There are many previous threads with this same exact problem.
You will need to determine what is on that circuit. Then you will need to determine what is and what is not working on that circuit. The problem is going to be at the last working or first non working device. The most typical problem we see is that the push-in connections were used on the switches and receptacles. With time those connections fail causing a loss of thru power.

Hi, I would check the breaker that controls that circuit, the one that tripped when the short occurred, remove the panel cover and with an analog meter check from the breaker screw terminal to neutral, with the breaker on.

Sounds like it's possible he wired the outlet incorrectly... possibly that's why the breaker won't reset.
I would disconnect everything he did, put wire nuts on the ends of wires for safety, then turn the breaker on and see if it stays on with his outlet disconnected.
