How many amps can I add to my breaker box??

How many amps can I add to my breaker box?? - connected to solar panels

Background: just got solar panels installed on my new pole shed. they have 125amp connected from the solar into a (brand new) 150amp breaker box.

Question: does that mean I can wire 25amps worth of electric or does it mean I can wire 150amps worth?

I only need to wire 50 (3 circuit breakers: 15amps, 15amps, and 20amps).

Solar company said said the solar should have no bearing on a service upgrade, but I didn’t understand if “service upgrade” meant new wiring or increasing the main breaker to 200amps. Electricians in my area have no idea. Help!

You can use up to what your main breaker is rated for.
Sum of the breakers is NOT what determines your load. It is your actual estimated total load that determines what you can add.

Upgrade ?? You just had a 150A service installed.

The solar adds power to the service.... not deducts it.
If they are connected to the panel with a 125A breaker...... that must be a large solar array.

Your three breakers are a very minimal load.
