3 way switch to Outlet
Wondering if anyone can shed some insight here. I am trying to finish our basement up, previous owners had a electrician wire up the finished part. But wasn't finished completely.
I have a 3 way switch that goes to some over head can lights. Those all work great, but the question I have is how I hook up the 14-2 to the 3 way switch to get power to an outlet below. I attached a picture if this is confusing. Im sure its a easy fix but can't find any information on it.

Sorry...... it's not an easy fix. You have only a three wire cable there. That is called a dead end three way switch. That cable contains a common carrier wire black) which could be always live and two switched hot traveler wires (red and white). There is no neutral there for you to connect your receptacle to.
