Is this knob and tube wiring?

I found this old wiring in a ceiling box. What should I do about it?

That appears to be old cloth sheathing NM cable without ground.
You can use it as is, but you cannot extend it.
Insulation the wire may have hardened and may crack when the wire is moved. If that happens, wrap it with electrical tape or if it is really bad, use heat shrink tubing.

I just worked in an old house with four cloth covered BX cables in what I call an acorn box. They had a two bulb fixture below it with two 100watt bulbs. The cables had no insulation left on the wires from the heat of the bulbs. I had to rip out the attic flooring to make a repair. As I was cutting back the BX....... the wiring was crumbling.

If you don't have to anything with that wiring...... don't mess with it.
