Question Switched outlet correct?

Can someone let me know if I have this connected correctly? I've attached pictures of the outlet before I put everything in the box.

I am adding a switched outlet with the power coming from the outlet.

Welcome to the forums.

Yes.... that is a properly wired switch loop circuit.
The only bad thing is it doesn't bring the neutral to the switch location as required by new code.

What is the new code now?

Do I just need a 14/3 wire between the switch and outlet? How does that get connected?

Black brings power to the switch.
Red is switched back to the receptacle.
White to white for neutral.
