Receptacle on brick wall
We're remodeling to have an open plan kitchen lounge dining room.
I'm trying to plan the electrics the 12' rule in mind. No receptacle further than 12' but it means I have to place some receptacles on a brick wall. The wall is concrete blocks with plaster directly on top. Without craftinga fake wall in front, what is the best way to mount a receptacle with wiring coming up from the floor?

Back wall of the kitchen will also be on the same wall so need some at counter height. Wiremold receptacle box? ARe there other alternatives?

Here receptacles can be up to 20" above the countertop. They make some wiremold-like systems that mount at a 45º angle down facing where the top cabinet meets the wall. Also include lighting options.
Might also be able to go with counter pop-up receptacles.

I assume I cannot knock out a small piece of the concrete block and fit in a junction box without weakening it?
