receptacle in well house
I have a well house that I would like to put a wall receptacle in to put in a smart plug to run a 75 watt bulb for when it gets below freezing to keep it above 32 in there.. Is it possible for a electrician to do this without running a new line? I know it has a 220 line in there and nothing else

Thanks, I am 60 percent sure there is a Neutral hooked to it.. There is a white wire on the pressure switch. I know that is not a "for sure" sign because my hot tub has a white wire that is not used for Neutral. But it uses alot more power

You can buy edison based 220 volt light bulbs but on an American 240 system they are somewhat unsafe because no neutral for the shell. That means the shell is or could be hot when you change the bulb so if you were grounded and touched the threads on the bulb you could be shocked.
Safer, simpler look for a 240 v portable heater.

OK, I am pretty sure that the white wire is being used as a hot wire.. I can take the cover off to be sure but since there is only 1 cable ran to the pump and looks like the standard house wire I am pretty sure that there is no red wire. So I would have to go with a 240 option. I am now thinking of having a sub panel put in and have a 240 heater put in so I could set a temp to kick in.. My question with that is will my pimp get enough juice or is there a way to "kick out" the heater if the pump switches on?? Or is there enough to run both? Thanks for your answers.. I want to have all this plan before I call Ken my E-trician because he is semi-retired due to health and I like to make things easier on him
