Question Wiring question for light switch

Advise pls: I have to deal with a weird "in-wall" wiring configuration in my home, in order to make a single pole light switch to work on a particular light. Because of the awkward locations of switch & light, I'm wondering if I can use the configuration in this diagram I've uploaded.

**The switch has a neutral connection.... it's a Lutron Caseta (smart switch)

Can anyone tell me if:

1- Legal?
2- Safe?
3- Workable?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums.

Your "configuration" works but you aren't showing us your wiring path.
You can't have splices not in an electrical box.
You've got two 14-2's and one 14-3..... where do they meet ?

Thanks for the quick response PJMAX..

All wire connections are denoted by the "X". All connections are inside jboxes. All the connections on the left side are in the same jbox.

Yes.... I see the connections. So all three cables will meet at the switch ?
I'm not understanding the weird in-wall issue.

If the connection X on the left are in a junction box that will remain accessible then you are fine. You can not bury those connections inside a wall even in a junction box.

Yes. All three cables meet at the switch. Ignore my in wall comment.

it sounds like you feel it's a safe configuration.

I guess I'm just a little concerned because of the neutral connection that I'm showing the diagram. I don't I think I understand the implications of that three-wire neutral connection with the neutral wires. The reason is because I don't understand what the light switch is doing to the neutral wire.

Okay. I really appreciate your help! No, I don't bury anything. All connections are in a junction box and accessible.

The light switch is doing nothing to the neutral wire. It is a smart switch and uses the neutral to power itself.
