Wired Smoke Detector - Intermittent Beeping

I have a 3 wired smoke detectors. The one that's the hardest to get to (atrium ceiling) goes through spells where it starts beeping like the battery needs to be changed. I've changed the 9 volt battery multiple times. The detector will be fine for a few weeks, and then start beeping again. Doing the "tongue test" on the 9 volt I remove from the detector tells me that there's probably plenty of juice still in the battery.

Any suggestions for identifying the cause, or just I just look at replacing ALL the detectors?

Thanks!!

If the detectors are close to 10 years old they should be replaced. Also the tongue test is not accurate for determining if battery has the needed voltage.
