3-way switch to lights on an outlet

Hello! I am installing plug-in overhead led shop lights in my barn and I would like to install a 3 way switch at both ends. I'll have 18 lights total all with their own outlet. I have wired my entire barn and multiple other projects but only a couple of 3 way fans. I understand the concept of 3 way switches but I am wondering if I have to use 14/3 wire for the entire run or just from the switches to the first and last outlet and use 14/2 to connect all the outlets together?

I would go power- switch- switch and then all your light receptacles. You will only need 14/3 between the switches.
If you try to go power switch - light - light - light, etc - switch, you will need 14/4 between the lights. Switched power, 2 travellers, neutral.

Would there be an issue with the switches being 120 feet apart plus dropping 10 foot from the ceiling on both sides? So a total length of 140 feet.

Should not be an issue. If you are concerned it could be, you could use 12/3 and 12/2 instead of 14 and still keep it on a 15 amp breaker.
