Using EMT outdoors with conduit bodies

In the past Iíve used PVC conduit for my outside projects, but my previous thread here convinced me that EMT will produce a better result. Is there any issue using raintight compression connectors to attach EMT to rigid conduit bodies (using the threads on the connector)? The NEC says that EMT may support a conduit body of equal or smaller size...is it ok for EMT to support rigid (presuming itís supported within 3í on either side)?

Thanks for running such a great and useful forum!

Eric

Sorry, yes, a rigid conduit body with the EMT supported within 3 feet on both sides of the conduit body.
