portable ac tripped breaker after 8 hours

I have a portable AC that runs at 10.8A when on full.
It's on the same circuit as some other stuff but everything was turned off except a 45W fan and it tripped the breaker overnight after 8 hrs of use.
Sounds like a thermal overload? Anything I can do?
Circuit is 15A Square D breaker.

How do you know the AC is pulling 10.8 amps? If that is the manufacturers specs then maybe the compressor or something is seizing up and it's actually pulling more current.

Are you absolutely sure there is NOTHING else on that circuit. If those truly are the only two items on the circuit using power then I'd get a new breaker and see if that solves the problem. Maybe your current breaker is weak and tripping at a lighter load than it should.
