CAFI & GFCI breaker install two wire system

I have a house with two wire installation that someone replaced the receptacles with three prong outlets. When I test them they test open ground which is correct. I installed CAFI & GFCI breaker combos and the outlets still test open ground.

I have a Sperry tester. Is this a correct test. The breakers do trip when tested on the breaker.

This is normal. GFCI protection is a valid option to allow three prong receptacles on an ungrounded circuit, but it does not add a ground.
The tester will not work because it requires the ground to be present to shunt a tiny current to ground to trip the GFCI.
