Small aquaponics electrical wiring

I am new to electrical projects, I have only wired a camper to run off a regular extension and made a small hand crank generator for a phone charger. I am looking to start an aquaponics system and was curious if I could set up a water wheel with a small generator made of copper wire and magnets around the bearing of the water wheel to send to a dc motor to send to a battery, and to use the battery to power a water pump motor that would point at the water wheel to keep it moving. As well as use the other side of the wheel as well and set up another small generator with copper wire and magnets to run to another dc motor and then to another water pump into a grow bed. That will trickle down back into the big tank with the wheel. I want to have a self contained system without running electricity to it from say an extension cord. Will this work or will the water wheel not support generating 2 dc motors at the same time ?

In my head it seems like it could but I don't know if Im missing something due to lack of understanding electrical. I've watched tons of Youtube making water wheels and running motors from then to charge batteries and also little water pumps and studied small aquaponics systems and I was trying to combine different plans into one system. If what that plan is doesn't make sense let me know and I will try to link a blueprint of what I'm thinking.

Welcome to the forums.

What you are trying to do is called perpetual motion and it's currently not possible.

From Wiki.....
Perpetual motion is motion of bodies that continues indefinitely. A perpetual motion machine is a hypothetical machine that can do work indefinitely without an energy source. This kind of machine is impossible, as it would violate the first or second law of thermodynamics.

since it has a battery it would have an energy source but it would probably be hard to do on a small scale water wheels turn slow you would have to speed up the output of the wheel to really get any generation then have a generator large enough to atleast keep the battery charged.
