Question

INSTALLING RANGE 40 AMP
I HAVE 6/3 WIRE . THE UNIT IS NON GROUNDED AND SO IS THE OUTLET
WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE BARE COPPER WIRE THAT IS A GROUND?
AND HOW IS IT HOOKED UP TO THE PANEL

The installation of new 3 wire range or dryer circuits is not permitted by the code. A wire circuit is required and you will have to replace the 3 wire range cord with a 4 wire cord. When you do this there is bonding jumper in the range that must be removed.
