how to wire vintage socket

I picked up this industrial light socket somewhere and I'd like to use it but darned if I can figure out how to open the thing. Does the porcelain socket ring unscrew? Doesn't seem like it, or at least the sucker sure is tight. Thanks.

May be the portion with screw for glass unscrews?
I see a line across that portion.

I agree.
Take those three screws completely out and see if the inner cast ring will turn out or just slide out.

Try gently unscrewing the knurled outer portion of the porcelain socket. After that is off, you will find mounting screws in the base of the socket.
