Exterior lighting dims form one outlet to the next
#1

There are four exterior lights around the garage of my home and when they are on, the first two bulbs appear to be bright, the third in line is half as bright as the first two and the fourth in line is half as bright as the third. I have check all of the bulbs to make sure that they are the correct wattage. Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like someone may have inadvertantly wired as least the last two fixtures in series instead of parallel. A quick test is to unscrew the bulb from the third light. If the one after it goes out, someone goofed and hooked up one of the socket leads to the incoming hot, and the other to the outgoing hot instead of the neutral. This could very well have started with the second fixture in line.
It's easy fix unless something really odd was done in wiring these lights.
