3-Way Wiring Help
I have two 3-way switches in a laundry room. They both control one light. I am hoping someone could point out how this should be properly wired. As of right now, the switches do not work and there appears to be an extra black wire that I did not previously see.

While I work on this I would comment that the wires need to wrap clockwise around the screws.
If you place the black with the hook under the screw does it work properly?

It does not. Is it possible the other black wire came loose while putting in the new switch? It just wasn’t there with the old one. I took pictures and replaced it exactly like the old ones were.

Pic 1, 2, and 3 ....... same location. (one switch/one receptacle)
Red and white are travelers to other switch. This is correct.
Check both black wires for power to ground.
The wire with the loop will go on the switch. Most likely it's dead.
Looking at the switch wiring in pics 4 and 5..... (two switches)
We see the red and white travelers. That is correct.
Does that black wire on that switch go into the same cable as the red and white ?
If yes...... then the other black wire at switch 1,2 and 3 needs power. It may have been hacked onto the receptacle and fell off.
