Where To Find Sylvania 2 Pole Circuit Breakers

I'm planning to install a 240v outlet next to the breaker for a future welding endeavor and want to place a 40 amp breaker.

Which breakers are compatible with this type of breaker. I tried searching around but couldn't find much info on this particular breaker.

Inside picture of the breaker

The closest thing I could find was on Amazon:

UBIZ0240-New Zinsco RC3840:
https//www.amazon.com/dp/B000UE45NO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_xNxSDbTN954DF

Would this be the correct one? From the label it says to use RC38 breakers, and this one is an RC3840. Wasn't sure if there's a difference between RC38 and rc3840 models

The breaker you found is correct replacement for that panel.

However, this panel is known to cause fire and replacement breakers are very expansive since they are no longer manufactured.

I would suggest replacing the panel. Looks fairly easy to do so.

UBI manufactures Zinsco style breakers and markets them under the Connecticut Electric name, but I don't believe they are UL Listed. If it were me, I'd put the cost of a new breaker toward replacing that old fire hazard with a new modern circuit breaker panel.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to swap out for another breaker bc I'm a tenant renting the garage space, otherwise I'd definitely be changing it to something safer.

Most I could convince them to do was add an 240v outlet, but they don't want to change the whole breaker panel.
