electrical box with 2 hot wires only one is 60 volts
I have an electrical box that must have been a switch at one time, now it is capped off. I checked the voltage using a neutral from another outlet. One wire shows 120 volts the other shows 60 volts. If I use the ground from anotherr outlet each wire is able to light a tester although the 60 volt wire is quite dim. There are no other wires in this box. I have no idea what these wire were originally for but now I would like to tap into the 120 volt line for some lights but there is no neutral just the other 60 volt wire
