Outdoor Wall Lantern with Built-In Electrical Outlet (GFCI)

The new fixture with GFCI outlets won't work. when we put the old fixture with no outlets back it worked.

So you are trying to install a light fixture that has a GFCI outlet with it?

Does the outlet work? Does the reset button work?

Are you sure the ground wire and neutral are not Touching?

Tell us more about exactly what you are doing. Pictures would be useful.

Welcome to the forums.

First I've ever heard of a wall lantern with a GFI receptacle.
A link to that fixture or pictures would be helpful...... How-to-insert-pictures.
