I cant find the break in the line?

So I was removing an old Bakelite bulb insert. It kind of crumbled and I tripped a breaker. However the noise was just a bit louder than usual. near the bulb insert. When I went to the box to reset the breaker none looked like they tripped. I had never marked this room that was on this line. So I did find the breaker, and half the outlets (Room 2) are working and the room 1 with 2 outlets and 3 light sockets are out! The room that works is separated by a Cement block wall. I checked all the outlets in the room that's out all dead, no hot. I have yet to check the last 3 outlets on the same breaker in the 2nd room with the live connections. Hope I made sense!
What would be the next step before I ask my electrician friend to take a look?
TQ

One of the electrical boxes in room 2 that is not working is normally feeding power to room 1. You have to find the last working box and the first non working box in room 2 because this is where your problem is. There is a loose screw or wire nut in one or both boxes.

Hi, is this a ceiling box with the fixture that you removed the socket?

Geo. YES! A ceiling box in the cement ceiling directly below garage flooring.
Why do you ask? Does it make a difference? Still need to check room 2, sockets are hard to get to need to move some big furniture
