Installing Ring doorbell/security devise.
I removed the doorbell on the outside of our house in preparation to install the Ring security doorbell. Three wires come from the wall that connect the doorbell to the chimes inside the house. The chimes worked fine prior to hooking up the Ring. I checked the chimes and am almost certain that the existing chime is a mechanical device so I don’t need the diode in the Ring device. I used the red and blue wires from the wall. Chimes do not work. Which of the three wires should I use. Red, Blue or White? Thanks

Welcome to the forums.
You removed the button from outside and found three wires there.
How was the old button connected ?
Were all three wires used on the button..... if they were then two wires were on one side.
That item from ring should be a charge increaser.
It's a resistor that allows more current to flow thru the chime coil.
