QO panel. Is there some trick to this?
I’ve just installed a Sq D NEMA 3R outdoors, the panel with the cover hinged at the left with a metal tab latch at the right side.
once the door is closed, it is difficult to reopen the door due to the latch. Once the tab is fully inserted in the door, it almost requires a tool to uninsert. Is this a common problem with these. I believe it is a 12 space 125 A rated box. Maybe there is a common hack. Since this contains breakers for a boat lift, I don’t feel comfortable with this. I suspect the door will defeat 90% of the population. There doesn’t appear to be any shipping damage, seems to be design related.

There may be a trick to it. Or a defect.
You can contact Schneider Electric they are good at getting back to you. They may be able to assist you. They are the makers of this panel.

Those tabs get bent in the box during shipping. Sometimes they need a slight attitude adjustment,
