Light switch

We changed a light switch (from off white to white) in our master bathroom that has three black wires, attached to a regular light switch. Two wires pushed in the back and one on the screw. though the switch only powered a single light in the bathroom. Now, when we turn off the light in the bathroom, the lights and outlets in our bedroom go off as well.

Help!

Good morning, do you have a voltmeter? One of the blacks has constant power, you need to identify that conductor first, next attach one of the other blacks to it temporarily, did the light go on? if not try the other black, which ever conductor made the light come on gets connected to a terminal on the switch by itself, the other 2 blacks should be wirenutted together with a short pigtail which is then connected to the other terminal. Donít use the push in terminals

On one screw you have two wires. Move one of them to the other screw. . If the wrong thing is switched, swap the original wire with the other one.
