open j-box hot to neutral 120 / neutral to ground 7 volts / was going put a gfi in but keep triping this box had two leads with grounds and one lead just black and white Why getting 7 volts neutral to ground and does that 7 volts effect the gfi

First if you are getting 7v neutral to ground that may be phantom voltage - more than likely you are using a digital meter. If you had an analog meter it should show zero volts.
You say you were going to put in a GFCI receptacle in this open junction box but
...but keep triping this box had two leads with grounds...
Please use some punctuation instead of one run-on sentence so we can have a better idea of what your issue is.
