Doerr lr22132 2hp motor reverse direction

I know this particular motor has been talked about a lot, but I couldn't find any threads that had the same wiring setup as I do. Here are a bunch of pictures, if anyone is able to help me figure out how to reverse the direction that would be wonderful and greatly appreciated. I have a 1hp table saw that is underpowered and this came off an old compressor I had, would be amazing to add some more power to the saw for no additional money. Let me know if there is any info I've left out. This is currently wired for regular 115V

That motor is a dual voltage (120/240) motor, I see nothing on the nameplate indicating that is reversible.

If you can locate wires labeled T5 and T8 and trade their connection places on connector board it will reverse start direction. Change no other wiring.

Good luck

There are over 20 threads on DIY dealing with the mythical Doerr LR-22132 motor.
At the top of the page.... to the right of forum is a search box.

Here's a thread that can probably be of some direct assistance.....

Yep, like I said I searched and read almost all of them and looked very closely at that one. If you were to look at the pictures you would see mine is wired up differently, has more options it seams. Rough Rooster, thank you for the suggestion, I'll give that a try.

I found T8 but can't locate T5. There are some cables that aren't marked or I can't find them, but maybe it's just hidden deeper in the motor and I can't get to it. I thought I found T8's pair, the red one in the photos, by checking continuity on the wires coming out of the motor...but when I switched them it just hummed, wasn't able to start up. So I'm guessing that T5 wire is hidden in the motor and I can't get to it.

T5 and T8 are the wires for the start winding. One should go through the centrifugal switch and is usually connected to either a black or red wire on L1 or L2 and the other one is usually connected to white wire on L1 or L2.
If you can find them and swap their positions the motor will start in opposite direction.

Did some searching on my drill press motor and found correct wires and wired them through a DPDT switch and now have a drill press that will run either direction at flip of switch. (requires a STOP -- switch flip and RESTART)
This arrangement is excellent for drilling broke bolts with my left handed drills. If the drill happens to hang the bolt unscrews and all is well.

Thanks again for the reply, I appreciate it. I'm having trouble identifying L1 or L2. I do have one red wire coming out and connecting at the bottom of picture 5.

L1 and L2 are the wires that should be one the board where the power cord connects.

Gotcha. on that board are 4 connectors on the outside and the inside once I take the end of the motor off. On the outside panel I have the white neutral AND T2 wrapping around from inside the motor connected to 4, Nothing connected to 3, T3 is wrapped around and connected to 2, and the black hot from power connected to 1. On the inside of that panel I have T4 connected to 4, P2 connected to 2, and P1 connected to 1. P1 and P2 go to the motor reset button. So It looks like this

Outside of panel ------ connection ------ Inside of panel
White nuetral & T2 ------ 4 ------ ------ ------ T4
nothing ------ ------ ------ - 3 ------ ------ ------ nothing
T3 ------ ------ ------ ------ --2 ------ ------ ------ P2
Black hot ------ ------ ------ 1 ------ ------ ------ P1

Does that make sense?
