Guy Wires on House

I am installing outdoor lights above my patio. I want to attach guy wires to hang the lights. The guy wires are 1/8 inch galvanized vinyl coated steel wire rope and will be attached to eye hooks on the side of the house. Do I need to ground these guy wires to protect from lightning strikes or is the vinyl shielding enough? Thanks in advance.

I would not be concerned about grounding. If lightning stuck them being grounded won't help you.
