Switch power rating

I have a toggle switch that is rated for 250V/10A. If I use this switch on a 110V circuit, would the max rating remain at 10A or be something else?

Is the switch rated for AC or DC? Sometimes the amperage capacity for AC is Different than DC.

250V/10A
The switch is rated at 10amps.... period.
250v is the maximum voltage that should be run thru it.

The stated voltage and current are maximum values. If switch ratings are AC, the values are RMS, not peak.
