Wiring to have power always on, removing switch
We just bought a house and there is a light switch near the mud-room access door in the garage that powers the power outlet the garage door opener is plugged into up in the rafters. (Meaning, if anyone turns this switch off, the garage door opener won't work) Unfortunately, they previous owner just turned the switch on and put a piece of duct tape over it so they'd never turn it off, but I want to wire it to always have the power on, and then remove the switch completely and put a blank cover plate over the box. How do I wire it to be always on without a switch?
