Hot Tub - basic wiring components
Thanks in advance for you input!
I'm planning to run electrical for a 230V hot tub. My plan includes:
1. a new dedicated 50A 2-pole breaker in the house panel;
2. from the new breaker in the house panel, ~40 feet of 6/3 romex (running through interior space only) running to...
3. a disconnect that will be mounted on the side of my home about 12 feet from the hot tub (Homeline 50 Amp 2-Space 4-Circuit Spa Panel Main Lug Load Center);
4. from the disconnect to the tub (~12ft) 4 individual #6 THHN (black, red, white, green) wires through Flexible PVC Non Metallic UL Liquid Tight Electrical Conduit to the hot tub. I'm planning to dig a shallow (~10") trench for the carflex, as this area will be entirely underneath a future deck.
Seems pretty straightforward to me, but thought I'd post here and ask for confirmation.
Thanks again!
