I have a Bodine NSI-54RL and want to use it in a home project with 110V AC plug. The name plate on the motor is blank for a capacitor and the Bodine website says it doesnt take one. So my question is, do I install a 5mfd capacitor or wire it straight to the plug? My wires are worn, but they are blue, blue/yellow, black, black/yellow, and green/yellow. I would have to meter them again to find out which winding pair coordinated with each set of wires, but I would like to know if someone can help me out?

House is 20 years old I am original owner. I replaced bathroom light about 10 years ago and I’m using 3 compact fluorescent bulbs instead of the incandescent. a few days ago I noticed the light didn’t go on when I flipped the switch, and sometimes flickered for a second. Eventually it would turn on, maybe after 4 or 5 tries. It would then stay on until I shut it off. yesterday I removed the cover plate and checked switch connections. Seemed tight, however, electrician used the push-in connector. I was once told not to use those because they are more likely to fail as opposed using the screws. i could just replace the switch and see if that works, or re connect using screws. Could possibly be the fixture but i want to rule out the easier fixed first.
