Weatherproof Outlet Covers and 12 Gauge Plugs

Hi, my exterior landscape lighting boxes have 12 gauge power cords with like a 3 inch 3 prong plug on the end. Even with the jumbo version of these plastic outlet covers, I can't really bend the two cords 90 degrees to exit out the side. Even if I really jam the cords inside this box, the plastic flexes and the box won't stay closed.

Is there another solution to protect this one outlet from rain. Thank you

Replace the plug with an angle plug.

Some allow adjustment of the pin positions if you need side exit.

If you replace the plugs you will void any listings the cords have. Just replace the in-use covers with deeper covers although they get pretty expensive. Here is one that is 5 1/4" deep.
