Intermittent circuit power outage

A weird thing just happened. The lights in the room went off and so did the computer; all other house electric seemed OK. Went to the basement and checked the breaker box. No breaker tripped. No other breaker boxes in house. 15 minutes later, power went back on. Is this a loose wire causing an intermittent open circuit or something else ? Should I get an electrician promptly ?

First thing you should figure out: was exactly one circuit affected, or were more than one circuit affected. You can do this by comparing what went out to what's on each circuit -- you may need to shut off the breakers one at a time to figure it out.
