Honeywell wifi-enabled thermostat offline, WAY offline

I have 4 Honeywell wifi-enabled thermostats, and when they occasionally go offline, it's usually pretty simple to get them back online, but now I've got one that's completely blank, like it doesn't have any power. I snapped it off to check the 3 leads and they're all tightly connected. As I type this I guess I need to check the connections in the cellar that go to the boiler, right?

I checked; the two zone valves in the cellar are both wired up the same. One is working, the other no power.

You have four wifi thermostats. Two are on zone valves.

If the thermostats are running A/C and heat..... then the C connection must come from the A/C system.... not the zone valves.

I'd need to see a picture or two of your zone valve wiring.... how-to-insert-pictures.

I have four wifi thermostats. All four are on zone valves. Two of the zone valves are in the original cellar labeled "bedroom" and "kitchen", and the other two are in a utility closet in the addition (they're for the living room and master suite). There is only heat, no a/c. I'll post a pic of the two in the cellar.

Hi, what type of valves ? Pics of how they are connected and to what, how did you determine there was no power to the valve?

I didn't; there's no power to the thermostat. It's just blank, as opposed to saying "offline".

How many wires are at the stat, have you tried swapping stats, which model Honeywell stat do you have?

The wiring is hard to follow. It looks like typical zone valve wiring that's next to impossible to decipher.
I labeled your last two pictures and combined them into one.
The valve terminals are labeled 1, 2, 3. This universal.
Terminal 1 is W wire from stat.
Terminal 2 is system common.
Terminal 3 is TT - pump start wiring.
You should rewire your valves to the proper color code to make them easier to service.

This diagram shows four valves. It doesn't matter if there is one valve or four.
Terminal 1 on the valve should use the white wire and must go to W on the stat.
Terminal 2 on the valve is common and should not be using red or white colored wiring.
Terminal 2's are tied together on both valves. Yours is correct.
Terminal 3 is the pump wire. Terminal 3's are tied together.
Terminals 2 and 3 are what activate the pump.

When your zone valves were wired they didn't care what color was R or W. With two wires it makes no difference. With three wires it is very important. I'm guessing you have red, white and green to your stats.

Your wiring should match the diagram.

This is the thermostat model; irrespective which color wire goes where, the wiring has not changed in years. I checked the wiring in the cellar to rule out the possibility that someone may have knocked a wire off, or that a mouse may have chewed through one but neither of those things happened. Normally all 4 thermostats show up in my TCC app where I can set them remotely for heat only, but after years of mostly working perfectly just one of them has lost connection:

I say "mostly" working perfectly because on occasion one or more of them will occasionally lose connectivity with the WiFi but when that happens the 'stat in question will display an error message, like this one from the user manual:

Mine is now showing only a blank screen with the four empty boxes. When I'm back on Thursday I'll try swapping one of the working thermostats with this one and see what happens.

Check for 24vAC between R and C right at the thermostat.
If you don't get it.... try W to C. If you get 24v then..... your wiring is wrong.

I'm gonna try swapping the devices first; the wiring hasn't been touched for 7 years and worked that whole time.

Update: the dead "head", moved to another zone remained dead. The working one moved to the bedroom remained working. I guess a thermostat head can go bad.
