We have no electricity in one bedroom, two adjacent bathrooms and one outside outlet. We have checked main box for tripped switches/breakers. All breakers are in good, operating condition. We have checked ALL outlets for GFCI trips, checked outlets and switches for fried wires in the rooms affected by outage. This happened in the same rooms one year ago when we had recently changed our service to underground. (Electric cable buried, new outside "underground" meter box) That time, the power was out only about 12 hours and came back on "by itself". We did call an electrician who poked around for a couple of hours, found no explanation for our outage and the mysterious return of electricity. Can anyone help? Many Thanks.

Call the power company. Tell them the same thing you've told us. Ask them to come out and check it out.

If it goes out and comes on again by itself, you might be losing one of the incoming phases, does your dryer and range work when these other circuits fail ? If you have an electric range or electric dryer and you have problems with these when these other circuits fail, then call you power company to check out there lines for a possible problem with one phase of power supplying your home.
