24 amps is a pretty hefty load for a 120 volts appliance - if you can call a tanning bed an appliance!

Are you setup to handle that load with the correct gauge circuit wiring and overcurrent protection and NEMA receptacle and corded plug?

Welcome to the forums.

There never has been a wealth of technical help available online for tanning products.
Could try here.... tanning bed repair manuals.

For us to help you.... we'll need pictures of the area where the wiring connects.
How to insert pictures.
How many tubes ?
How many ballasts ?

The SunSystem Model SB-3 has 16 Bulbs

I think this is the one!

Check out that makeshift wiring!

You can use that metal clad cable for testing with the plug on it but it needs to be replaced.
Technically it may use more power than you can get from a wall socket.
Either it will eventually need it's own direct circuit (30amp) or a very good power cord.

You need to remount that box with screws.
I labeled blower in first picture. According to the labeling of those three plugs... blower should be connected to the right plug except I see a black cable (?) and a device (?) on the cover in place of the blower. Can you ID what that device is with the ? ?

I labeled the 4th picture with timer and a circle around the plug. It looks to be broken.
The bed won't operate without the timer connected.

How do you know the bed operates on 120v ?
Is there some tag.
A bed of that many tubes usually runs on 240v.

Yeah, that is going to need a separate dedicated 30 amp circuit if the unit is running all lamps and blowers. It will have to be gone through to check all the wiring is good and check each ballast and UV lamps to see if they are all working. Was the unit tested/working before purchase?

Pete - The OP said it's a Model SB-3.
Here's the tag for a SB-3 - says 120 volt! 24 amp!

OP also said it was 16.... not 12 tubes.
I would like to wait to hear from OP BEFORE any other posts.
