I just bought a 1984 suntana sunsystem model sb3 serial number c300 made by sun industries llc from a lady on Facebook for $300 got it home an all hooked up an it wont turn on, I think it's a wiring issue but I can't find any dias and the manual to take it apart an see what's what... please help it all can't be a loss
You can use that metal clad cable for testing with the plug on it but it needs to be replaced.
Technically it may use more power than you can get from a wall socket.
Either it will eventually need it's own direct circuit (30amp) or a very good power cord.
You need to remount that box with screws.
I labeled blower in first picture. According to the labeling of those three plugs... blower should be connected to the right plug except I see a black cable (?) and a device (?) on the cover in place of the blower. Can you ID what that device is with the ? ?
I labeled the 4th picture with timer and a circle around the plug. It looks to be broken.
The bed won't operate without the timer connected.
How do you know the bed operates on 120v ?
Is there some tag.
A bed of that many tubes usually runs on 240v.
Yeah, that is going to need a separate dedicated 30 amp circuit if the unit is running all lamps and blowers. It will have to be gone through to check all the wiring is good and check each ballast and UV lamps to see if they are all working. Was the unit tested/working before purchase?
Is there such a device to limit the amperage to a draw? Example I'm using a battery that's 12 volt 100 amp hour. My device can easily draw the full 100 amps but I don't want it to how can I limit the amperage but not the volts? Is there some sort of limiter or equivalent that would only allow so many amps to pass through without it tripping or burning out when the end source can handle the whole load.Read More
I have a box in my kitchen that I want to swap the wires off the lower left switch and install them on a replacement dimmer. Then take the wires that were on the first switch and put them on the lower left switch. The switch on the right is a two-way controlling one ceiling light there with the other box several feet away. There are six recessed ceiling LED lights that are much too bright.
Any help appreciated.
