Installing Electric Water Heater

I'm going from a gas water heater to an electric one. It's a 50 gallon Rheem brand. The generic installation manual states to install a 25 AMP breaker and use 10 gauge wire. Is this correct?

I went to Home Depot and they only have 20 and 30 AMP breakers. My dryer uses a 30 AMP breaker with 10 gauge wire so is it safe to use the same on the water heater?

Also, I have 10-3 wire to wire the heater with but the heater's electrical panel only had two hot wires and the ground screw. So, there's no neutral? What do I do with the neutral?

Thanks!!!

Yes. Use the 30-amp breaker. You don't need the white wire. Just cap it off at your water heater.

Thanks John! So, I guess I don't need to connect the neutral to the outside service panel since I'll be capping the wire at the water heater, right?
