Replacement ceiling light

Our 20 year old ceiling lights have a half dome with a nut that threads onto the usual hollow electrical tube thingy.
being ancient, standing on a step ladder holding the dome in one hand and the nut in the other is unpleasant.
The lamp is about a foot round.
without having to repaint all the ceilings what can we replace them with that makes changing bulbs easier?
thanks all

There are many light fixtures out there. You just need to find one with exposed bulbs and a large enough canopy that will cover the existing light fixture's footprint.

or

You can buy a similar fixture that has integrated LEDs. I typically don't recommend this as they still have components that can fail after the 5 year warranty ends.
