1000 Watt lightbulb

Can I plug a 1000w lightbulb in a normal outlet? will it blow up the circuit?

120 volt

Yes, you can do it. Whether or not it will blow the circuit depends completely on how many watts are already running on the circuit. A 15-amp circuit will blow when the load exceeds 1800 watts, so you've got 800 watts extra over that 1000-watt light.

Watch out for the heat from that bulb!
