I have two tourchire (sp ?) lamps (the kind with the
upside down saucer dish) a metal grill and halogen light.
The light warning reads to use 300 w or 120 Volt light or
lower. I have a 120 volt halogen light in there.
Can't tell if it's the orginal or not.

I turn the lamp on and then after a little time, the light
goes off and then will come back on. It works like this
even if I have the lamp dimmed.

I have two of these and they are both acting like this.
Should I use a lower bulb even though it says the 120
is ok ? What else should I look for ?
Thanks.

All lights are 120-volts. Check the wattage, not the volts. Keep it under 300 watts. You are probably activating the thermal cutoff.
