I have tried to re wire my outdoor lighting fixture but i cant get the wiring right ...i have a double switch on the inside to to first work the ceiling fan/light then i have another to work my front porch light.....after i have wired the light switches back together i cant have both on at the same time neither can i turn them completely off the bulbs still run hot all the time just not as bright what have i done wrong....i need to run my outside light off the power side off the ceiling fan/light side but what wires go where i have a black wire a green wire and i white wire... please help.

You wired them in series because you have no neutral in the switch box. The white wires in the box are not neutrals. You must wire these two switches with no connection between them. Each switch is wired as if it is in its own box.

We need a lot more details about all the wires in the switch box and any other modifications you have made to offer more precise wiring advice.
