Question

I would like to run electrical service to my new garage that is 20 feet from the house. The garage is built on an existing concrete slab. What is an exceptable way to run the power line under ground into the garage. IE... what hardware is used, electical box, .... etc

How much power do you need?

The key dividing line is 2400 watts. Do you need more or less?

And do you need any 240-volt outlets?

Think on what John asked the 2400 watt load max is a definite dividing line. You might want to read the above link to get you familiar with wiring designs, then come back in and ask specific questions. This should help get to the meat of your desires.
