Question

I just replaced the porch lights on the front of my house. The holes in the vinyl siding from the installation of the original lights is larger than the new lights cover (about a 1/2 in. gap at least). How do I fill up this space or patch it to make it look cleaner? Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

YOu might try going to your local building supply house and buy a light fixture base from the siding accessories. This base will fit to your siding then the light fixture will mount to the box through that plastic base. They also have plastic siding bases that are designed to be used as an electrical box. Some are not approved for uses as an electrical box. Just be sure which one you buy. Should cover your hole match you siding color etc.

Good Luck
