wiring 1 outlet and two switches
#1

I have and existing hot line, (one white wire, one black wire). I want to add an outlet that is always hot and a double switch to control two different ceiling lights. I need a diagram or instructions on the proper sequence of connections to properly accomplish this. Thanks for your help.

TURN OFF POWER ! If the wire starts at the switch box, send a black, white bare to the plug, send a black, white, bare to one light then from the switch box again send a black, white, bare to the other light. Now in the switch box you have 4 cables with 3 wires in each.(the hot,1 to plug,1 to light,1 to light). Twist all the bare wires together leave 6" sticking out of box, wirenut them, roll up into box if switch has ground spot add pig tail to ground it with. Twist all whites, wirenut and roll up. The 2 black wires to the lights leave to be put on a switch each later. The remaining 2 blacks add 2 pigtails to and twist and wirenut. Those are the hots! Put one each to a switch add one each of the switch legs to the light on to a switch. You will have only 1 hot and 1 switch leg to a light on each switch.
