Baseboard heaters

I am hooking up baseboard heaters in my home, but am having troulble getting info on the max number of heaters I can connect. I am using 220 Volts, 20 Amps circuits, and want to know thw max watts I should connect. One person told me 2700, antother 1500. I could sure use some help!!

240 volts at 20 amps produces 4800 watts. Since these heaters would be considered a continuous load, you should limit yourself to 80% of that, or 3840 watts.

wiring new construction

I am wir5ing a new consruction basement. When I run the wire for the recepticals do I jump from box to box and tie the wires together and add a pig tail for the plug out let.

I Have an open wire

I have two electrical outlets in two bathrooms and two outside lights that are out or do not work due to an open Hot(I bought a device to tell me what is wrong with my electrical outlets in the bathroom) I know that these four are connected to the same wires (an electrician came and fixed one of the electrical in the bathroom and told me that these four all work together) I have looked at the outlets in the bathrooms and seem to be fine but what would cause an open Hot? Is it due to the ground not secured or a bad outlet? [Edited by rocky33 on 11-03-01 at 07:25]
