ceiling fan

I am roughing in a new addition in my home. I want to put in ceiling fan with 2-3 way switches. That much I understand how to do 2-wire to the first switch (feed) 3-wire to the second switch and then 2-wire to the fan. (one way at any rate) but while I was at the store the other day I saw a different fan swithes that was 2 in 1, a slide for the light and a slide for the fan all in the same switch. they had a sticker on the box that said "this switch takes the place of 2 switches". What my question is: can I wire these boxes and use one of these swithes at both ends and be able to manipulate the fan and light from both? (using the slide dials to dim) If so do I have to wire for this any differently?

Can someone help? I just want to add an outlet to my basement, and I found this product at Home Depot for surface wiring by wiremold. The instruction tells me to get the power from an existing outlet, however, there are no outlets nearby, and I want to get the power from an electrical box in the ceiling of my basement. So far, I have a receptacle box and the metal raceway to hide the wiring. My problem is I'm not sure how to connect the wire coming out of the metal raceway to the electrical box in the ceiling. I suppose an aluminum MC cable might be necessary. But how would I connect it to wiremold. This sounds simple, but I want to do this the proper way.
