Flickering & diming lights trouble
The smallest increase in current causes my lights to flicker and dim. When I run larger appliances such as my washer and dryer the problem occurs more often. In some cases the tv actually turns off for a second then comes back on. I'm waiting for the electrical company to verify my voltage coming into the house but does that mean if I only have 120 volt service coming to house that this is the cause of my problem? Someone told me that if you only have 2 wires coming from the pole then it's 120 volt. I do only have 2 wires coming from the pole but I dont know if the above statement holds true. If I do have 240 volt service what else could cause the flickering and diming?

What size is your electrical service. I sounds somewhat like a loose connection, maybe at the utility pole or in the connections at the meter or panel. A loose connection may increase the apparent voltage drop.
