Bathroom Exhaust Fan

Bathroom Exhaust Fan
I have an old exhaust fan in the bathroom. It's the type which has 2 heating lamps in the center. When I turn the fan on, it's really loud. Kind of sound like my cordless drill but deeper.
I checked out the motor, and it looked ok (no broken parts). I was thinking of spraying WD-40 into it, but wasn't sure if that would wreck the motor and make it worse.
Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

Well, the older exhaust fans weren't known for being quiet even when they were new. The ones today do a better job at noise reduction. I would recommend replacement; you'll probably spend more in time and aggravation than a new one would be worth.
